Myanmar participates in International Fair held in Kunming

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) reported that Myanmar took part in the International Fair held at the Kunming International Academy on 9 March in Kunming, the People’s Republic of China.
The fair aimed to showcase the exchange of traditional culture with a total of 16 countries, including Myanmar.
During the fair, traditional foods, costumes, dances, cultures, handicrafts, and sports from the 16 participating countries were on display.
U Thawdar Aung, Myanmar’s Consul-General in Kunming, along with family members of the consulate-general, participated in the event. They showcased Mohinga (Myanma rice noodle soup), Myanma tea, traditional woodcarvings, gemstone paintings, and traditional Myanma dances.

YCC to host Myanmar 8 Build Expo 2024

According to the Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs Federation, the Myanmar 8 Build Expo 2024 is scheduled to take place from 29 to 31 March at the Yangon Convention Centre (YCC) in Mayangon Township, Yangon.
The exhibition is organized by Silver Sea International Co Ltd in collaboration with the Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs Federation (MCEF) and the Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies (Fed.MES). It will feature the Myanmar 8 Build, Myanmar Real Estate & Property Expo, Renewable Energy & EV Myanmar.
U Nay Lin, a member of the central committee from the Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs Federation (MCEF), mentioned that the exhibition will showcase construction materials, technologies, domestic and international housing, household furniture, home interior decorations, electronics, solar energy, and renewable energy products at 170 booths.

10th Selangor International Expo (F&B) 2024 to be held in Malaysia

The 10th Selangor International Expo (F&B) 2024 is set to take place over four days in Malaysia.
Scheduled from 16 to 19 October 2024, the expo will occupy nearly 500 showrooms across five halls at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Organizers anticipate hosting over 30,000 guests, with the rental cost for a nine-square-metre showroom priced at US$2,500.

15th VIFA Expo2024 invites Myanmar business people

THE 15th VIFA Expo 2024, which will take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam, from 26 to 29 February,
invites Myanmar businesspeople to showcase a vast range of furniture, handicrafts and home accessories, according to the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization. This fair aims to provide a platform to discuss the industry trends between Myanmar buyers and Vietnamese businesspersons and explore business opportunities.

The opening ceremony of the fair will be held on 26 February. Participants can go on on-site tours to Ben Tre province, the heart of the coconut production industry, on 27 and 28 February, including meeting province officials. Myanmar entrepreneurs invited to attend Bharat TEX 2024

According to the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA), Myanmar entrepreneurs, especially from the garment industry, are invited to participate in the Bharat TEX 2024, a global textile mega event, to be held on 26-29 February in New Delhi.
Organized by the Indian Ministry of Textiles, the event is said to be a valuable platform for global industrial businesses. Exhibitions, knowledge-sharing sessions, talks on the respective category, G2G and B2B meetings and networks, product launch ceremonies, pavilions for mutual benefits and exchanges for various sectors, and other activities will be involved at the event.
In addition, the participants and visitors from other countries can study the Indian culture, costumes and traditions at the event. Potential purchasers of Indian textiles, importers, and exporters are projected to exchange information and make a wide network through the event.
Myanmar entrepreneurs from the garment industry involved in the Buyer Delegation Visit led by the MGMA will have a chance to stay three nights in New Delhi free of charge. Event organizers arranged a gala dinner, shuttle to and from the hotel, the airport and the exhibition. However, the potential participants will have to spend the expenses for airport tickets, the MGMA informed.

Myanmar entrepreneurs invited to 6th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade

BUSINESSPERSONS and en­trepreneurs from Myanmar are invited to participate in the 6th Western China Interna­tional Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT), scheduled to be held in Chongqing, People’s Republic of China, on 24 May 2024.

WCIFIT is a national-level international event in west­ern China, serving as a crucial platform for diplomatic, trade, and investment collaboration. It plays a key role in enhanc­ing international and domestic cooperation.

According to the report, there will be a discounted price of 1,500 RMB for a 9-square-me­tre standard booth in the main channel and 1,000 RMB for a 9-square-metre standard booth in the second channel, respectively. As experts and businesspeople from western countries will be attending the event, participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions on trade and ex­pand their market.

STYLE Bangkok 2024 invites Myanmar businesspersons to display local products

Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization notified Myanmar businesspersons of joining STYLE Bangkok 2024 to display Myanmar products.
The lifestyle and fashion exhibition will be held from 20 to 24 March 2024 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) in Bangkok.
The expo will provide four (three by three square metres) booths for free. It is a great opportunity to showcase fashion, leather products, handicrafts, souvenirs, and household goods, and attract new buyers.

MDY Intl Trade Fair & Investment Forum 2023 fostering regional entrepreneurial connections

THE Mandalay International Trade Fair and Investment Forum 2023, held at the Mandalay Convention
Centre, has attracted numerous visitors, according to reports. The event, organized collaboratively by the Mandalay Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MRCCI) and the Chamber of Commerce of Dehong Prefecture, is slated to run from 9 am to 5 pm on 20-22 December. It serves as a crucial link, connecting Mandalay entrepreneurs with countries in the region. U Win Htay, Chairman of the MRCCI, stated, “Since representatives from ASEAN businesses came and showcased their enterprises, we believe our entrepreneurs will gain foreign connections. We signed MoUs with businesses from Viet Nam and China today.”

The event aims to identify business opportunities in Mandalay and encourage local micro, small, and
medium enterprises through business matching with foreign companies. Dr Tun Tun Aung, Managing Director of the Mandalay Myotha Industrial Park Development Company, said, “We exhibited the investment potential of our industrial park at this event. Mandalay to host International Trade Fair & Investment Forum 2023

THE Mandalay International Trade Fair and Investment Forum 2023 is scheduled to take place at the Mandalay Convention Centre in Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay Region, as announced by the Mandalay Region Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MRCCI). MRCCI

Chairman U Win Htay stated that entrepreneurs from upper Myanmar and abroad will showcase their products in 262 booths at the forum, scheduled from 20 to 22 December.

“There are over 70 booths from China set to be opened. Indonesia also has a list of booths to participate in. The products that will be displayed include foodstuffs, consumer goods, and agricultural materials,” mentioned U Win Htay.

Additionally, agriculture,livestock, tourism, and energy forums will be incorporated into the event.The Mandalay International Trade Fair and Investment Forum was held in 2019 in Mandalay.

2023 Myanmar International Textile and Machinery Fair scheduled in December

The 2023 Myanmar International Textile and Machinery Fair sponsored by the Department of Commerce, Zhejiang Province, China, is scheduled to be held from 8 to 10 December at the Inya Lake Hotel in Mayangon Township, Yangon Region, according to Daw Khine Khine Nwe, General Secretary of Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association.
The expatriate garment associations operating in Myanmar such as the Korea Garment Association in Myanmar (KOGAM), Japan Garment Manufacturers Association in Myanmar (JGMA), and Hong Kong Myanmar Manufacturers’ Association Limited-HKM MA will cosponsor the event while also running booths in the fair.
“Each and every country has different tastes in terms of clothing, fashion, and design. However, they all like good quality and innovative products. Since this exhibition will promote the products made in Myanmar, we will work together with international partners such as China, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, etc. The high quality of locally manufactured products will also be seen significantly in the show, and we should be proud of that,” said Daw Khine Khine Nwe during a press conference for the event held at Time City, Kamayut Township on 10 November. At the exhibition, 25 brands from China, products of more than 100 manufacturers of textiles, garments, shoes and bags in addition to garments, shoes and bags produced locally will also be displayed.
ASEAN Federation of Textile Industries (AFTEX) representatives from ASEAN countries will also share the future prospects of the textile and garment sectors of ASEAN countries through panel discussions. Those who will come to the exhibition will have the opportunity to communicate directly with the representatives at the booths and will be able to promote joint ventures in related areas.
