A total of 85 construction permits were issued within the boundaries of the Yangon City Development Committee in the first week of November.
For BCC applications, 85 construction permits were issued within one week. Additionally, 18 building construction completion certificates (BCC) were approved. The Yangon Electricity Power Corporation (YESC) has furnished a list of 34 buildings that have applied for construction permits ranging from four to 17 rooms. To facilitate the construction process, approvals were sought from relevant departments, including the Fire Services Department, the Department of Engineering (Water and Sanitation) and the Department of Urban and Housing Development.
When construction permits are issued, it is essential to follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), which mandates communication between landowners and licensed contractors with the Electricity Supply Enterprise to facilitate the process of obtaining electricity.
The Yangon Supply Electricity Corporation will reportedly convene a meeting with licensed contractors this week to facilitate the acquisition of the Building Construction Completion (BCC) certificates and the installation of electricity meters in the buildings.
